A Conversation About Passion: How Zuzia Piątkowska's Art Is Created

Today we invite you to Zuzia Piątkowska's studio . Zuzia is a creative and open-minded person who exudes energy and has an infectious, beautiful smile. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, she founded her own painting studio. Her paintings, full of strong, intense colors, attract the attention of many art enthusiasts. We arranged to meet at her studio to talk about her work, her art, and a little about jewelry. .

The beginnings of an artistic path and the search for one's own style

Tell us about your beginnings. At what point in your life did you decide you wanted to create your own art? I think the beginnings of this idea began to emerge when I decided I wanted to study art. At that time, I didn't yet know what exactly I wanted to do. I was at a stage of fascination with the idea of creating and being able to do so through various media. The period of study itself was incredibly helpful in discovering what truly drew me to.

How did you develop your style, and what made you feel like this was THE direction? I've always loved intense colors, combining them with great ease and pleasure, and they've become a key element in my work. There were periods, especially during my studies, when I worked with a more subdued, monochromatic palette, but I always returned to strong, multi-colored shades. Although I must admit, I wasn't always met with approval from my more conservative professors when I chose such strong color combinations. My creative path often led against the grain, but my passion for color never faded.

Sources of inspiration and a typical day in the studio

Where do you draw your inspiration? My work is most often inspired by what surrounds me. Nature, architecture, people, trips, interesting objects, shapes, textures, and a hundred colors.

What's a typical day like for you in your studio? When I arrive at the studio, I usually start with coffee, then open the blinds and gaze out at the quiet street through the large display windows. After this morning ritual, it's time for a little tidying up. I love rearranging my furniture, and I definitely work better in a slightly different environment. Once I've arranged everything, I change into my work clothes, pour paint onto my palette, and start painting. I really enjoy my work, so I spend most of the day in the studio mixing colors, combining and finding the right shapes, coming up with ideas for future paintings, and finishing projects I've already started.

Jewelry that fascinates: Moonlight Ring

What kind of swanky jewelry have you chosen for yourself? The swanky piece I fell in love with at first sight is the Moonlight gold-plated onyx ring . Its extraordinary beauty defies my color preferences, but perhaps that's precisely why I chose it—it stands out from the rest with its incredibly deep and intriguing black. It's very classic, perfect for a woman drawn to retro vibes. It definitely grabs attention; it's hard to look away; there's something captivating, bold, and romantic about it. Moonlight is my favorite swanky piece.
